Get Set - How it works
Your sports camp will be complimented by four or five college-age athletes ready to serve your church in reaching your community. The highly trained Base Sports team will focus on joining your ministry team for the week of camp. The High Power team will be prepared to lead each day from start to finish, allowing for you and your volunteers to focus on building relationships with kids that come to your camp. This team comes with the High Power Commitment and will be well trained and prepared to run sports sessions, lead high energy worship songs with motions, tell relevant Bible stories, emcee large group sessions, and relate daily themes to your children’s lives.
High Power Sports has developed a comprehensive camp curriculum that includes daily Bible lessons relevant to the children in your ministry, life lessons taught through sports stories and high-energy songs that reinforce the Bible-based theme and God’s love for each child. To learn more about the curriculum and how it can work for your church go to our curriculum page.
When you have a High Power Team come to your church it is still your sports camp. The kids sign up with your ministry which allows YOU to do any follow-up and future ministry with the campers. Our goal is to equip you and provide what you need to be successful at the camp, but our desire is for this camp to be your ministry to your community. Your responsibilities for a successful camp include:
Promoting your camp and recruiting volunteers (1 volunteer per 8 kids)
Securing a facility for camp, including audio equipment
Communicating with parents and campers—before, during, and after the week of camp
Providing a daily snack for each child
Working with a High Power Sports church representative on preparing for camp
Running camp with a High Power Team allows for the church to oversee activities and enjoy the fun. Once you decide to partner with us we will make sure your camp is successful. We will set you up with a church representative or Athletic Director who will walk with you as you prepare for camp. They will make sure you get all of the promotional materials you need to promote successfully and all of the shirts you need for the week of camp. They will assist you in training your volunteers and come alongside you to get your entire church involved.
